Beware
of Internet
Fraud:
Unfortunately
the Internet
realm is sometimes
the playground
of individuals
who intend
to unlawfully
gather sensitive
financial
information
for their own
personal gain.
To protect
yourself from
being a victim
of identity
theft, you
should never
provide any
sensitive
information
in response
to a web page
or email request
without verifying
the validity
of the request
with your financial
institution. Brainstorm
Internet will
never ask you,
in email or
on a web page,
to verify any
sensitive information
such as credit
card or bank
account numbers,
social security
numbers, ets. If,
in your web
browsing or
email correspondence,
you encounter
an unexpected
request for
such information
you should
not provide
any information
and report
the incident
to us immediately so
that we can
determine the
source of the
fraudulent
activity and
notify the
appropriate
parties.
Your awareness
as you surf
the net and
correspond
via email
is the single
best tool
you have
to prevent
falling into
an identity
theft trap.
Thank you
for helping
us as we continually
work to make
your internet
experience
a fun and pleasant
one. |
